In matters of civil and criminal investigations we locate and interview potential witnesses. This may be the single most important factor in any investigation. Our skilled interviewing techniques and experience has provided positive results time and time again.

We perform a complete review of all Court documents and police reports. We collect and preserve evidentiary material. These factors are essential in every investigation. As former law enforcement investigators we are trained in these areas and know what to look for.

We provide specialized services that include, but are not limited to, ballistics, polygraph examinations, DNA/forensic analysis, and accident reconstruction.

Howard & Rickert have been certified as expert witnesses and have provided testimony in Court proceedings in more than 30 counties in Pennsylvania. Additionally, they have provided expert testimony before Grand Jury’s at both the state and federal level, and have testified as experts in federal Court in eight states, including Pennsylvania.

We provide comprehensive background screening for companies and corporations throughout Central and Western Pennsylvania. Today many employers are realizing the need to have background screening completed for prospective employees. We are able to provide this service and return the results to the employer in a matter of days.

Our trained professional investigators provide covert surveillance in Workman’s Compensation investigations. As a result of the diligence of these investigators, large financial savings are realized by the client companies.

Each investigation is undertaken with the idea that in six-months or six-years this particular case will be heard by a jury and in front of a judge. Hearsay is not an option. The report must uphold what the investigator is testifying to. It is our belief at Stathill that the report must be sufficient to stand alone – if necessary - as a testament to the investigative work performed for the law firm and client in that particular case.
